New way to report Attendance

The NEW Way to Report Your Child's Absence:

To report your child's absence, log in to your School Spider account, select "Report Absence," and choose the child for whom you're reporting the absence.

Alternatively, you can leave a voicemail on our telephone system.

Important: You must use one of these methods before 9:30 am on the day of absence.

After reporting the absence, you may choose to speak with the class teacher separately.

As a Reminder, Here's a Summary of Our Attendance Policy:

We understand that some absences are unavoidable. Each absence is classified as either authorised or unauthorised:

  • Authorised Absences: These are valid reasons for absence.
  • Unauthorised Absences: These occur when no valid explanation is provided or unacceptable reasons are given.

The following are not acceptable reasons for absence:

  • Shopping visits
  • Days out
  • Holidays during term time (including long weekends)
  • Parental or sibling illness
  • Celebrating birthdays

If you don't contact us, we have a duty of care to ensure we know your child's whereabouts.

Reporting Absences:

  1. If your child is absent, please notify us by 9:30 am.
  2. If you don’t contact us, and we can’t reach you, we will call your emergency contacts.
  3. If we are still unable to make contact, and we’re unsure of your child’s safety, we may do a home visit or notify the police for a welfare check.
